A delegation of Stanford OHS students attended the California Junior Classical League's Latin Convention in Orinda, CA in April, where they participated in academic competitions (exams, recitations, dramatic interpretations about Ancient Greek and Latin material); artistic competitions (illustrations, costume design); attended scholarly lectures on Greek Mythology and the historical mirroring of Ancient Rome and contemporary U.S. political history, and had a ton of fun!
The Stanford OHS delegation took home a number of awards including third place in the "Project Runway" competition, plus recognition for academic achievement on exams, and one student won several awards for the art pieces she submitted, including the first place all-round arts award!
