Modes of Writing and Argumentation Writing Lab

The OHS Writing and Tutoring Center offers supplemental Writing Labs. These labs, which meet once per week, are intended to support students in completing their writing assignments in Modes of Writing & Argumentation (OE011). Experienced writing instructors work with students on every aspect of the writing process—from close reading and prewriting strategies to the final revision and edit—as they strive toward completion of major assignments. Students enrolled in these labs commit to attending all meetings and working collaboratively with their peers on their in-progress essay assignments. They are expected to be active participants in oral discussions of weekly writing topics. Enrollment is limited with some space reserved for students upon recommendation of their instructor. This writing lab will commence during the first full week of classes of the academic year.
