Anita Rathi
Computer Science Instructor
Anita is a doctoral candidate in the Learning and Instruction program at the University of San Francisco and currently serves as a Lecturer in Computer Science at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, CA. Originally from India, she earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Delhi and a Master’s in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal University. She also holds a second Bachelor’s degree in Education from Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
Anita loves working with motivated high school students who are passionate about Computer Science and is excited to continue being part of Stanford OHS. Prior to her work in academia, she served as a Principal Curriculum Developer at Oracle.
Anita believes that her husband’s unwavering belief in her potential has been a driving force behind her accomplishments, providing the motivation, guidance, and support that helped her become who she is today.
Outside of her professional life, Anita is a proud mother of two daughters and a son who keep her joyfully busy. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and running, drawing on her experience as a former competitive swimmer. She currently resides with her family in San Luis Obispo, California.
Anita’s intellectual curiosity and dedication to her field are reflected in her research interests. She is particularly passionate about Accessibility in Computer Science Education and is actively contributing to this important area through her current research.
