About Me

Hello! My name is Harper, and I am a full-time junior at Stanford OHS. I started at Stanford OHS in 8th grade, taking a single History course, and made the decision to transition to full-time for high school. In addition to serving as a Student Ambassador last year, I am also a member of several clubs including, Pixel Podcast, History Club, and Pixel Journal. Outside of Stanford OHS, I am a competitive tennis player and love to volunteer my extra time with local organizations such as, Special Pops, Welcoming Atlanta, and LaAmistad.

Why I Chose Stanford OHS

Previous to Stanford OHS, I was a student at a private school. I applied to Stanford OHS for the opportunity to push myself academically. I love the online environment of Stanford OHS and the peer group because we are all equally motivated to push ourselves and stay focused and engaged in the classroom setting. Stanford OHS has helped me develop academically and has allowed me the flexibility to pursue interests outside of school.

What I Love About Stanford OHS

I love all things Stanford OHS! With the unique flexibility of Stanford OHS, I have learned how to manage the rigorous course load with my extracurriculars. Stanford OHS provides the ideal environment for an academically motivated student to learn time management, be exposed to excellent teaching, and have the ability to participate in the extracurriculars they enjoy. Another thing that I love about Stanford OHS is the multiple in-person events offered throughout the year that allow the students to engage in person and create strong connections. I enjoy participating in the wide array of clubs that Stanford OHS offers. I also regularly use the peer tutors and the Writing and Tutoring Center.
